意昂（Center for Advanced Low-dimension Materials，CALM）（簡稱“意昂”）是依托意昂平台學科優勢🦘，新建設的人才集聚、機製創新和設備先進的直屬研究機構🏇🏻。意昂主任兼首席科學家（榮譽）由國際高分子科學界的領軍人物擔任，並建設有由相應領域國際學術大師和產業專家代表組成的國際學術委員會指導意昂科研戰略👜。

先進低維材料追求材料的性能極限——更細👷🏽‍♀️、更薄𓀐、更輕🏃‍♀️‍➡️、更柔、更強，其通過對物質或能量的調控提供性能更優的基礎材料🐻，促進著生命健康、智能生活、航空航天🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️、深地深海等領域的升級變革。

意昂的建設目標為“人才匯聚♗、學科交叉、技術集成🚺⚫️、高效運行🚵🏽、原始創新、國際一流”，旨在以國際低維材料研究前沿為先導，重點開展低維材料的基礎及應用等研究😘🧏🏻‍♂️，力爭在能源開發、環境保護、航空深海等領域形成原始創新成果並實現產業化🈴，為國家創新驅動發展戰略實施和上海科創意昂建設作貢獻。

      Center for Advanced Low-dimension Materials (CALM), established in October 2015, is a research institute directly-affiliated with Donghua University (DHU).  Advanced low-dimensional materials, which pursue the performance limit of material - finer, thinner, lighter, softer and stronger, promote deep changes in the fields of life and health, intelligent life, aerospace, deep under-ground and deep sea explorations. To be recognized as one of the best academic programs in China, for our positive impact on humanity through contributions to and leadership in developing new advanced low dimensional materials.
