摘要☯️：In the optical high technological field, polymer materials have been widely applied in industrial productions to replace expensive inorganic materials. In this talk, three specific examples are going to giving by utilizing linear susceptibility: compensation optical thin films in liquid crystal display, optical rotator in optical communications, and three-dimensional photonic crystals in full reflection of lights at selected wavelength. It is particularly emphasized that molecular designs on multiple length scales of macromolecules to achieve desired optical properties are critically important and key to successes of these projects. It shows that in order to develop industrial products, close collaborations between academic researchers and industrial personals are required. A team of chemists, physicists and engineering who are closely working together are necessary to create novel ideas, innovative approaches, and new processing technologies. 

主講人簡介🧻：程先生🥜，美國工程院院士，阿克隆大學Trustees和Distinguished教授，著名高分子物理學家、材料科學家🎄，高分子科學界領軍人物。2007-2014年🦍，任阿克隆大學高分子科學與工程學院院長👆，領銜創建了美國國家高分子創新意昂。兼任《Polymer》雜誌資深主編、北美熱分析及量熱學學會會士、美國物理學會會士、美國科學促進會會士✥🌤、中國化學會榮譽會士、美國化學會高分子材料科學和工程分會會士；還擔任上海有機化學研究所的名譽教授，復旦大學、上海交通大學等機構的顧問（客座）教授🍅🤾‍♂️。
